Finnamyl's food-grade potato protein PPS is a versatile raw material for the food industry thanks to its neutral taste. It is particularly suitable for baking, snack products, extrusion, gluten-free products, wine fining and for food service seeking a higher protein content.
Potato protein has a protein content of at least 80% in the dry matter, so even small amounts can significantly improve the nutritional value of products. The amino acid composition is excellent and close to animal proteins (PDCAAS value 0.997), making it a competitive alternative to other vegetable proteins.
PPS is also well suited for extrusion, for example in cereals, protein bars and other dry and wet process products. It can also be used to clarify vegan wine, as the protein is insoluble in the liquid.
Finnamyl's potato protein is produced in Kokemäki from a by-product of the starch industry, potato fruit juice, making it a good example of circular economy and sustainable development.

Feed Grade Potato Protein
Feed quality potato protein is particularly suitable for feeding monogastric animals such as pigs and pets. It balances the amino acid composition of the feed and, based on practical experience, improves pig muscle mass.
The product is a dry powdered form with a minimum protein content of 80 % in dry matter and a minimum dry matter content of 89 %.
Potato protein feed grade is a Finnish alternative to imported protein. It increases the self-sufficiency of Finnish protein and facilitates logistics on the domestic market.
